Who are potential participants for the Dual-U curriculum?
The Dual-U curriculum is designed to meet the needs
of various stakeholders in a dual language program. The curriculum can
be used by:
university faculty
staff developers
state departments of education
administrators
school board members
parents
groups of dual language teachers (new as well as experienced)
professional associations

How is the curriculum organized?
The curriculum is organized into eight modules that contain two to six
interactive activities to be used in small group learning. Click on the
Content tab at the top of this page to review the modules
and outcomes. Once you have registered at the site, a "Scope and
Sequence PDF" to be used as a needs assessment, will be available
to you. The exception to the activity format is the Assessment
module which provides a series of guiding questions that can be integrated
into the other modules.
The Dual-U site also contains a comprehensive glossary of terms associated
with innovative and enriched language education and a reference section
with a variety of resources. In addition there is the From the
Field feature that provides users with a real world perspective,
from practicing teachers, researchers, staff developers and parents, on
the issues being addressed in each of the modules.

What are some of the ways of delivering the Dual U curriculum?
Depending on the needs of the stakeholders, any or all of the eight modules may be used. The following grid offers some guidance as to which suggested modules might be of interest to different stakeholders.
